A George III oval teapot stand on 4 plain feet chased with a foliate border between 2 narrow Greek key borders, the centre engraved with a crest of a winged star and Latin motto “VIRTUS IN ARDUIS” The rear later engraved “The Gift of Launa Margaret Hughes Martin to her Godson Maurice Bingham Baring July 24th. 1916” 6.2 troy ounces. 7.5 inches long. Made in Dublin 1806 by Robert Breading. Excellent condition.
