An 18th. century oval silver tea caddy with a flat concealed hinged lid chased with foliate lozenges and dentil bright cut decoration. Oval harebell cartouche to the front engraved with conjoined initials. Fitted with a lock and divided interior compartment. 4 inches high, 4.6 inches wide. 12.3 troy ounces. Made in London 1776 by Robert Makepeace & Richard Carter. Excellent condition.
