A Victorian silver dessert service comprising 11 silver dessert knives and 12 silver dessert forks with carved ivory handles, the silver blades and tines chased with foliate scroll work and cross hatched decoration. knife 21 cms. long. Original velvet lined wooden box. Made in Sheffield 1877 by John Newton Mappin & George Webb. Silver in excellent condition. Some of the ivory handles with minor cracks commensurate with age. 23 pieces.
