A good quality pear shaped early Victorian silver claret jug on a spreading collet foot with a leaf capped scroll handle terminating in an applied cast grape vine, hinged lid with vine leaf finial, the body chased with grapes,tendrils and scroll work. Large vacant cartouche to the front. Gilded interior. 14 inches ( 35 cm. ) high. 28.9 troy ounces ( 900 grams ) Made in London 1845 by Joseph Angel 1 and Joseph Angel 11. Excellent condition.
