A mid-Victorian silver gilt dressing case comprising 14 hobnail cut glass jars and boxes with silver-gilt lids richly chased with foliate scroll-work,(1 vacant space).A large rectangular silver gilt mirror with similar decoration(14.3 inches high, with space for a hand mirror behind. All fitted in a brass bound coromandel wood box with recessed brass handles,15.5 inches long, 8 inches deep and wide. all pieces engraved with the initials N.I.Also containing some manicure items, a jewellery draw and 3 con-sealed compartments.
