A good quality Russian silver and niello rectangular snuff box. The lid decorated in niello with St. George and the dragon between a building and a ships mast. The sides decorated with niello scale-work, the base engraved with a niello work harbour scene featuring a sailing ship a building and 2 lighthouses. 8 x 5 cm. Gilded interior, clearly hallmarked inside the lid and base for Moscow 1850. Maker A.K. unidentified. Excellent condition.
