Large Silver Trowel T.582


A large early Victorian silver trowel of diamond shape with a chased border of roses, thistles and shamrocks with a silver mounted ivory handle carved with acanthus leaf decoration. Uninscribed. 15 inches long, 10.5 ounces gross weight. Made in London 1844 by John Phillip Acklam.  The usual stress cracks to the ivory otherwise excellent condition .
