George II Silver Tankard S.392


A George II silver lidded tankard of tapering shape with a central girdle, double scroll handle with scroll thumb piece and heart terminal, hinged domed lid. Later chased with foliate scroll-work. Vacant cartouche to one side the other with a later presentation inscription. 19 troy ounces.  7 inches high. Made in Newcastle 1751 by Issac Cookson.
