A rare antique silver Baby’s nursery rhyme rattle in the figure of a fat little boy singing, buttons on the front of his jacket and wearing a wide sash tied with a big bow at the back, inscribed  ” LITTLE TOM TUCKER”,  mother of pearl handle and 2 dependant silver bells. 4.2 inches high. Made in Birmingham 1911 by Cornelius Desormeaux Saunders and James Francis Hollings. The earliest recorded version of this rhyme appears in Tommy Thumb’s Pretty Song Book circa 1744.
