An early Victorian brass bound rosewood dressing case. The lid fitted with a mirror and green leather stationary folder. Interior fitted with 10 silver topped cut glass bottles and jars including a travelling inkwell, all engraved with the initials A D in italic script and fully hallmarked for Francis Douglas London 1846. Lift out tray, 3 further compartments underneath. Separate green velvet lined jewellery draw with it's own lock and key. 12.5 x 9.8 x 7.3 inches. Condition generally good , some brass stringing missing on the lid.
