L.631: An octagonal shaped silver sugar caster, comprising 4 wide and 4 narrow panels on a similarly shaped pedestal foot, with reeded bands and removable pierced top with Adom style finial. 6.8 inches tall. Made in Birmingham 1931. £200.
L.866: A good quality mid eighteenth century style silver gilt sugar caster on a circular spreading foot, the body embossed with ribbons, garlands and flowers, detachable pierced lid with gadrooned edge and acanthus leaf finial. 8 inches tall. 8 troy ounces. Made in London 1901 by Charles Stuart Harris. In original fitted red leather case. £420. |
