O.358: A circular silver jewellery or trinket box on three foliate legs, the hinged tortoiseshell lid with a Chipendale border and central silver pique work cartouche.  Cream silk lined interior. 2.7 inches diameter. Made in Birmingham 1915 by Mappin & Webb. £220.

 

O.353: A  Victorian heart shaped silver-gilt jewellery/trinket box, the top and sides embossed with foliate scroll work, shaped base, hinged lid with a heart shaped cartouche engraved with conjoined initials and a 5 point coronet. 2.7 inches wide, 1 inch deep. Made in Birmingham 1894. £180

O.215: A late 19th. century rectangular silver jewellery box ebossed on the top, bottom and all sides with traditional rustic scenes, hinged lid. 5.7 x 2 x 1.8 inches. Made in Holland circa 1890. £240

 

 

O.216: A rectangular silver jewellery box with a hinged lid and gilded interior, the sides embossed with scroll work and rustic scenes, the lid with shell and scroll work, the center with a detailed rustic scene, probably from a painting by David Teniers. Bears Dutch marks and English import marks for 1907. £240.

O.177: A heart shaped silver jewellery or pot pourri box, the sides embossed with scroll work, the hinged lid intricately pierced with a design of foliage and tropical birds, central minature of a young girl. 2.3 x 2.3 inches.  Made in Birmingham 1892. £180.

O.186: A rectangular Art Deco silver jewellery box on 4 stepped feet with shaped canted corners, and engine turned lid, central diamond shaped vacant cartouche. Original turquoise velvet lining. 4 x 2.8 inches. Made in Birmingham 1934. £200.

 

O.187: An oval silver jewellery box on 4 reeded feet, the hinged lid  set with a tortoiseshell panel inlaid with silver pique' work . original cream silk lining. 3 x 2.5 inches. Made in Birmingham 1922. £180.

O.134: An oval silver jewellery or pot pourri box the sides embossed with floral scroll work, the overhanging hinged lid pierced with a scene of people waving to a young couple in a departing horsedrawn carriage, building in the background, floral scroll work serround, gilded interior.  3.2 x 2.5 inches. Made in London 1904 by William Commyns.  £200

O.54: An oval silver jewellery box on 4 shaped legs, the tortoiseshell lid with a silver chippendale border and silver pique' work cartouche. Original silk lining. 4 inches long. Made in Birmingham 1914.  £250.

 

N.903 Antique Silver Jewellery Box

N. 903: A circular silver jewellery box with a flat base and hinged lid, the sides embossed with shell and scroll work and 2 oval vacant cartouches, the lid embossed with a scene of medievil knights storming a castle. Interior lightly guilded 4.4 inches diameter, bearing London Import marks for 1906. £300.

 

N.965 Silver Jewellery Box             

N.965: An oval silver jewellery box the lid embossed with a scene of a village celebration, after the 17th. Century Flemish artist David Teniers, the sides embossed with rural and sea scenes. 4.5 inches long, 1.3 deep. lightly gilded interior. Import marks for Chester 1900. £260.

N.905: A circular silver jewellery box on 3 scroll feet, the engine turned decorated lid with a shaped border and central vacant cartouche. Dark blue velvet lined interior. 5 inches diameter. Made in Birmingham 1924.  £250

 

N.906: A bow fronted rectangular silver jewellery box on 4 scroll legs, the engine turned decorated lid with a shaped border and central vacant cartouche. Blue velvet lining. 5 inches long. Made in Birmingham 1921 £240

 

N.904: A rectangular silver jewellery casket on four curved legs with a shaped shell and scroll border and top edge, the lid with engine turned decoration and central vacant cartouche. 5 x 3.2 inches. Original green velvet fitted lining with compartments for rings. Made in Birmingham 1911 £280

 

N.418 Silver Jewellery Box                 

N.418: A Continental square silver jewellery box embossed with foliate scrollwork on all sides, the hinged lid embossed with a young courting couple in period dress, she playing a tambourine, he carrying a letter and a posy, the 2 serrounded by flowers and scrollwork, buildings and mountains in the distance. Gilded interior. 3.4 inches square. Made in Germany circa 1900. £150.

 

N.111: A small heart shaped Victorian silver jewellery box with a lift off lid, the sides embossed with foliate scroll work, crimped edge and base, the lid similarly embossed and with 3 love birds and a central vacant cartouche. 3 x 2.8 inches. Made in London 1887 by William Commyns. £220.

 

N.169: An Ewardian cartouche shaped silver jewellery or stud box, the hinged lid with a raised reed and ribbon border, central black basalt disc set with a gilt metal angel and Roman soldier. 3.3 inches long.  Gilded interior. Made in Chester 1906. £200.
