SILVER CARRIAGE CLOCKS

O.388: A silver desk clock modeled as the logo of The Times newspaper: To the left an open book embossed with "Times Past" and surrounded with acorns and oak leaves, the central square clock with an open book below it embossed "The Times". To the right a closed book embossed "Future" with a sickle and miseltoe. 3.1 inches high, 7.5 inches long, original fitted case. Made in Birmingham 1975 by Thomas Fattorini. ( Between 1974 and 1982 Thomas Fattorini produced a total of 90 Times Clocks, the price in 1982 was £400 + V.A.T.)  £350.

 

N.653  Victorian Silver Carriage Clock  

N.653: A late Victorian  rectangular silver desk carriage clock on 4 compressed bun feet with an oval ring handle and hinged door in the rear.  White enamel dial with black Roman numerals. 8 day carriage movement in good working order.2.7 inches tall x 1.9 inches wide.  Made in Birmingham 1898. £450.

 

N.186 Edwardian Silver Carriage Clock 

N.186: A domed top Edwardian silver carriage clock on 4 stepped feet,  the front chased with a shell, scroll and garland pattern above the blue enamel face and a floral vacant cartouch below. Hinged handled door to the rear, inscribed on the inside for Xmas 1910. French 8 day carriage movement. faint crack in enamel face. Made in London 1906  by William Commyns. 3.5 inches wide by 4.5 high.  Working order. £680.

 

N.146 Edwardian Silver Carriage Clock  

N.146: A rectangular Edwardian silver desk carraige clock with a hammered finish on 4 ball feet with a hinged rear door and hinged handle, contemporary initials to the top. White enamel dial with black Roman numerals. 8 day carriage movement. Made in London 1901 by Drew and Sons of Piccadilly Circus. 1.7 inches wide by 3.5 inches to the top of the handle. Working order £450.
