Silver Pitchers & Water Jugs (click on photos for larger view) N.525: An Edwardian silver ale jug with a "C" scroll handle and spreading colet foot, the body profusely chased with scroll and foliate decoration. 6 inches high. Made in Chester 1905. £650.
I.04: A plain silver water jug in the style of
George I, flat base, tapering body, cherub head crest, scroll thumb-piece,
bell finial & ebony handle. 9 inches(23 cms.) tall. 17 troy ounces(518
grams). Made in Sheffield 1922. £250.
G.176: A late Victorian silver pitcher on 4 cast shell & scroll feet, the plain body divided by a triple band, shaped cape collar & spout, ebony handle & finial. 16 troy ounces(488 grams). 6.25 inches(16 cms) tall. Made in Sheffield 1895. £260.
G.590: A small Edwardian silver water pitcher with a fluted vase shaped body , oval spreading foot & reeded rim, the composition handle fitting into a leaf moulded mount. 7.7 inches tall(19.5 cms). Made in London 1906. £220. |
