Silver Mustard Pots (click on photos for larger view) O.289: A Victorian tapering baluster shaped silver mustard pot on a plain collet foot with a double scroll handle, the body and hinged lid bright-cut engraved with panels of ferns and flowers. Vacant cartouche to the front. Gilded interior. 3.3 inches tall. Made in London 1879 by Hyam Hyams. £260.
O.69: A George IV circular silver mustard pot on a spreading foot with a leaf capped double scroll handle, hinged lid with a rose finial, the body chased with acanthus leaf bands. 4 inches across the handle, 4.25 troy ounces. Made in London 1827 by William Fell. £340.
N.616: An early Victorian octagonal silver mustard pot on a stepped spreading foot with a domed hinged lid, triple scroll handle and scroll thumb piece, the lid and body engraved with floral scroll work. Fitted blue glass liner. 3.25 inches high, 4 .25 inches across the handle. Made in London 1845 by Barnard Bros. £400.
N.388: A George III bulbous shaped rectangular silver mustard pot on 4 ball feet, plain angular handle, gadrooned edge and ball finial. The interior gilded and fitted with a blue glass liner. Made in London 1812. £300. M.675: An early Victorian decorative silver mustard pot of pumpkin shape on a spreading fluted circular foot with a scroll handle applied with leaf work and harebells, the body embossed with foliate panels, the lid with similar decoration and cast floral finial. 4.5 inches across the handle. Made in London 1838 by John & Henry Lias. £400. |
