O.196: A late George IV silver dessert service comprising 12 knives and 12 four pronged forks with silver blades and tines and plain shaped ivory handles. Knife 7.25 inches long. Original fitted mahogany box. Made in Birmingham 1829 by Unite & Hilliyard.  £360 set.

 

N.671 Georgian Silver Straining Spoon 

N.671: A George III Old English pattern silver straining spoon, original vertically pierced strainer, the handle engraved with the initials B L in itallics. 11 .8 inches long. 5.5 troy ounces. Made in London 1806 by Wm. Eley & Wm. Fern. £260.

 

O.75: A good quality Victorian fiddle pattern silver soup ladle. The handle engraved with 2 crests: a stag and a dove. 13.2 inches long. 10 troy ounces. Made in London 1876 by George Adams. £270

 

O.76: A good quality George III Old English & Thread pattern soup ladle  with a circular fluted bowl. 13.2 inches long. 6 troy ounces. Made in London 1789 by George Smith & William Fern. £300

 

N.210: A good quality George IV fiddle & thread pattern silver soup ladle, the handle engraved with the letter Q in gothic script. 13.2 inches long. 10 troy ounces. Made in London 1828 by C.Eley. £260

 

N.153: A good quality Scottish George III fiddle pattern silver soup ladle, the handle engraved with a crest showing a prehistoric monster(possibly for Loch Ness) above a 3 point coronet. 13.2 inches long. 6.5 troy ounces. Made in Edinburgh 1815 by Robert Gray & Son. £260

 

N.414: A good quality early Victorian fiddle pattern silver  soup ladle, the handle engraved with a crest of a seated greyhound. 13.2 inches long. 8 troy ounces. Made in London 1839 by Mary Chawner. £230.

 

N.281 Georgian Silver & Ivory Dessert Set

N.281: 12 pairs of George III silver dessert eaters with carved ivory handles in the original  fitted rosewood box, the knives 8.2 inches long. Made in London 1819 possibly by Robert Peppin, the 3 prong forks unmarked.  £360 (24 pieces).

 

M.742 Victorian Silver Dessert Set            

M.742: A 24 piece bead edged Victorian silver dessert set, comprising 12 knives and 12 forks with silver blades, tines and handles. Knives 8.6 inches long. All pieces with a lion passant crest ,fitted in the original blue velvet lined  burr walnut box with similar crested lid. Made in Sheffield 1874/6 by Harrison Bros. £380.

 

M.721 Silver Gilt Dessert Set                      

M.721: An early Victorian 24 piece silver gilt King's pattern dessert service consisting of 12 dessert knives and 12 dessert forks in original fitted mahogany case, all pieces crested with a dragon's head in a coronet. Knives 8 inches long, forks 7 inches (click here for detail). Various dates and makers 1832-1873. £360 the set.

M.322: A rare 36 piece silver dessert service comprising 12 dessert spoons, 12 dessert forks and 12 dessert knives with mother of pearl pistol shaped handles. contemporary crest, fitted in original mahogany box. Made in Sheffield 1907. ( 1 fork of an earlier date ) £680. set.

M.343: A late Victorian silver canteen for 12, partially decorated with a floral and scroll pattern, comprising:

12 dessert spoons
Soup ladle
All fitted in the original felt lined mahogany box. 105 troy ounces ( 3202 grams ) made in Sheffield 1899 by John Round.  £1250.
