A 19th. century Dutch circular silver trinket or powder box. The domed hinged lid embossed with a crowned lion crest surrounded by a Latin motto: RESPARVA CRESCUNI CONCORDIA. The sides decorated with figures and scenes. The base embossed with a figure on a horse, further Latin script and the date 1711 in Roman numerals. 3.2 inches diameter. 6.2 troy ounces. Bearing Dutch 925 silver marks and English import marks for 1890
