An 18th. century silver snuff box of triangular cushion shape, the hinged lid chased with a foliate scroll-work border and set with a triangular hard stone center.Gilded deep interior with reeded sides (see detail). The base engraved: A.V to I.A.S 1789. Maker's mark only B.S with a pellet above. London circa 1785.
