A 19th. century Russian rectangular silver snuff box decorated with floral niello work. 3 inches long, 1 inch high. Gilded interior. The inside of the lid engraved with a Masonic compass and "D.R. Clark,Glasgow". clearly hallmarked for Moscow 1862. Maker A.C, assay-master H C. Niello is worn.
