N.344: A mid Victorian ovoid silver claret jug on a circular bead-edged pedestal foot, double scroll handle embossed with shell, lozenge and foliate decoration, narrow neck with a shaped flared rim and weighted hinged lid. The body neck and foot embossed with raised ovoid lozenges in engraved cymetric bands, vacant area to the front, gilded interior. 12 inches high. 21 troy ounces. Made in London 1867 by George Richard Elkington. £1050.
